I'm In Love With My Daughter

Makeda is beautiful and so serene looking! We are so happy you all made it home safely, even if it was a bit late and minus some luggage (which has hopefully turned up by now). It must seem a bit surreal to have all this waiting and travel behind you and finally be at home with you daughter. See you soon!

...And I am in love with my niece. What a doll this child is...the sweetest disposition. Almost makes me want to try for number four....well, maybe not. Instead, I will continue to live in the spare room whilst I take advantage of the alone time to bond with our newest niece before Auntie Lisa gets to.

(Just kidding, Lisa. I'm sure that she will grow to love her other Aunty too....in time. I do think she looks more like me, though! heehee!)

Well, for once I'm not the Mom so I can go into the hall and make loud noises and hope that the lovely Makeda "accidently" wakes up.

SHE IS BEAUTIFUL.

How amazing to finally see your own pictures of her. Her eyes in that last shot - I see her 20 years from now looking very much the same.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Barbara. Now, let's see a picture of you with her.

Oh, how beautiful! I am so pleased you made it home safely, and that you are settling in. I am sure the dogs will adjust eventually...maybe when Cheerios start dropping from Makeda's fingers? Free food from above always seems to promote devotion from pets. I hope to see you soon and to meet Makeda.

i'll post some pics of us together in a few days. those shots are all on my dad's camera and unfortunately his camera accessories ended up in my luggage so he can't download at the moment. patience grasshoppers...

holy crap! she is even more beautiful than i realized - and as other commenters have said, she looks so serene!

seriously, though - she is STUNNING. you are going to have to lock up that girl when she turns 13, i tell you.

perhaps we can send both our girls to the same nunnery. :-)

Makeda certainly looks beautiful in these pictures. However, after having met her in person after a 31 hour flight, I can say that she is even more beautiful in person!
