That's It That's All

I can't believe it's over. 145 days. Of total, uncomplicated bliss. Spent with the most perfect human being I've ever met. Yes, my leave of absence is over. Tomorrow is back to work. The nanny panic has finally been resolved. Today I welcomed Tessie into my home. While Tessie's childcare qualifications are impeccable, she had me at " **good cook" handwritten at the top of her application. And so, the next phase begins. Slowly though. I'll work from home as well as the office for the first couple of weeks while Tessie and Makeda get to know each other. And then back at full throttle.

I'm sad... :(

Back to work - BLEAH!! I'm giving a two finger salute to that.

Congrats again on hiring Tessie. I'm sure Makeda will grow to adore her and you will all become quite the team. Here's to a smooth transition and wonderful meals ahead.

Daunting! But, I admire a woman that can do all you can and so I'm sure you'll make it look breezy. Incidentally, I'll be on that same route...

Next up: Add beating fresh caught fish with a club, skinning it, and then frying it up for dinner in between changing diapers.

If you figure that one out, tell me how to do it.

I'd be sad too. I'm sure Makeda will adapt just fine, these Ethiopian beauties of our seem to have that skill!

My return to work day is looming and making me anxious already! I've got to find child care STAT!

Hey perk up...she can cook! :-) I'm sorry you have to go back to work, but you should have paid attention when they were trying to get you to find a baby daddy! LOL

All things will work out! You two will be fine and Makeda will continue to thrive.

You call Makeda the most perfect human being you've ever known, but I'd put you up there with her, Barb. You are a wonderful mother, and a great person, and she is so lucky to have you.

I know going back to work will be hard, so don't overdo it, say no to late afternoon meetings, and get home to that little bunny as early as possible!!!

I know you'll take this transition with the same grace you've demonstrated to this point. Makeda will miss you, just as you'll miss her, but coming home after a long day is going to be so much better now. Tessie is so lucky to have joined this team. luvauntiemare
